MOSI KU CHALO GUINNESS WORLD RECORDS™ TITLE ATTEMPT A CELEBRATION OF ZAMBIA AT 60
… Zambia’s iconic Mosi lager aims to make history as Zambia celebrates its 60th Independence Anniversary!
LUSAKA, ZAMBIA – Zambian Breweries is excited to announce a bold GUINNESS WORLD RECORDS title attempt for the most people opening bottles simultaneously with its iconic Mosi Premium Lager. This exciting event to take place on Saturday, 26th October 2024, at the R&G Arena, promises to be a historic moment for Zambia and Mosi Premium Lager fans alike.
The record-breaking attempt, dubbed Mosi Ku Chalo (Mosi to the World) – will aim to bring the prestigious GUINNESS WORLD RECORDS title home to Zambia, where Mosi Premium Lager has become a household name and a symbol of national pride.
“We are incredibly excited about this GUINNESS WORLD RECORDS title attempt, as currently, the world record is held by Bavaria a subsidiary of AB InBev in Colombia, where 4,339 bottles were opened simultaneously on 4th September 2011,” said Zambian Breweries Country Director Thais Cavinatto.
“Mosi is more than just a lager—it’s a symbol of national pride. What better way to celebrate Zambia at 60 than by breaking a GUINNESS WORLD RECORDS title with the people who love Mosi the most? We are confident that Zambia’s passion will surpass this milestone in celebration of Zambia’s 60th Independence Anniversary.” She added that an official adjudicator from Guinness World Records would join virtually to follow the proceedings and verify the record attempt.
The event is scheduled for Saturday, 26th October 2024 at the R&G Arena in Lusaka, starting at 12:00hrs local time. For only K100, beer enthusiasts will not only get their ticket into the venue but also a limited-edition Mosi Ku Chalo T-shirt, a Mosi bottle opener, and two Mosi bottles.
