PROFLIGHT BOOSTS CAPE TOWN FLIGHTS FOR FESTIVE SEASON
Airline updates its flying schedules on its regional connections
LUSAKA, ZAMBIA – In an exciting development for air travelers, Proflight Zambia is set to increase its connectivity between Lusaka and Cape Town during the upcoming festive season.
Starting from December 8, the airline will escalate its weekly flights from two to three, offering more options for those looking to explore the vibrant city for a holiday getaway.
Flights on the Lusaka – Cape Town route are scheduled on Tuesdays, Fridays, and Saturdays, running until January 5, 2024. The airline aims to provide a seamless and enjoyable travel experience for individuals embarking on vacations or visiting loved ones.
“This increase in frequency aligns with the heightened demand for travel during the festive period, ensuring that passengers have greater flexibility in planning their journeys;” said Captain Josias Walubita, Director of Flight Operations at Proflight Zambia.
Looking ahead to the new year, Proflight has also adjusted its schedules on its three South African routes: Durban, Cape Town and Johannesburg. Commencing on February 6, Cape Town flights will move permanently to three times a week on Thursdays, Fridays, and Saturdays. The flight times will remain unchanged, departing at 08:00 and returning at 15:35, offering a reliable and convenient option for travellers, with morning connections from Ndola and afternoon connections onward to Ndola, Mfuwe and Livingstone.
In addition to the Cape Town increase, Proflight has fine-tuned its schedules for Durban and Johannesburg. On the Lusaka – Johannesburg route starting from January 16 to June 27, the airline will only operate morning and evening flights on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays. From January 16 to February 16, there will only be morning and evening flights on Fridays. On all other days the airline will continue to operate three daily flights between Lusaka and Johannesburg in the morning, midday, and evening.
On the Lusaka – Durban route starting February 2, Proflight will operate on new days: Monday and Friday, instead of Thursday and Sunday, with new scheduled times departing Lusaka at 08:15, arriving in Durban at 10:45 and departing Durban at 11:30 to arrive back in Lusaka at 14:00. The new times continue to provide morning connections from Ndola and increased afternoon connections onwards to Solwezi, Ndola, Mfuwe and Livingstone.
Travellers can expect enhanced services and options, reinforcing the airline’s commitment to delivering world-class service on all its routes.
“Proflight expresses gratitude to its loyal flyers who continue to choose the airline for their travel needs. The company remains dedicated to providing excellent services and looks forward to welcoming more passengers on board as it enhances connectivity across Southern Africa,” said Capt. Walubita.
